A lover of tea, writing, travel and human photography, I was first introduced to Yoga as a spiritual practice at a young age in Sri Lanka where she was raised. Years later, and certified, I am definitely still your avid student of yoga, constantly exploring the intricate relationships of the mind, body and spirit.
Following an intuitive combination of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, my classes are a balance between the anatomy of movement and breath - a stepping stone for anyone new to Yoga and a reminder for veteran practitioners. I use a lot sensory cues and verbal imagery to help students create their own personal, sacred space. My classes are challenging, uplifting and holistic, without solely focusing on the physical aspect of yoga (asanas), becoming a mental and spiritual practice that also encompasses pranayama and meditation. An honest practice of yoga, not just asana.
I also work with children conducting creative Storytelling Yoga sessions. Designed to help kids develop their imagination and tap into their vast reservoir of courage, wisdom and compassion in order to improve their confidence and self esteem!
