Although I have a PhD in Biological Sciences and a graduate degree in teaching, from my youth I have always loved being in the kitchen whether it be helping my mom, or just trying my own recipes.
I started cooking when I was a little older than 7, helping and doing errands for my aunt. My greatest source of inspiration and teachers have been my father (who is an excellent cook ) and my aunt. My mother taught me how to do daily easy cooking with fresh and local produce and these experiences have taught me to experiment and trying new ways to do traditional things.
I am from India but having lived in China and now Singapore, my cooking style has adapted and is reflected in my cooking with a fusion of India, Singapore and Chinese styles. As a cook I like to create recipes which are easy and fuss-free and then recreating them with a family and friends creating a memorable and fun event.
