My passion – or probably addiction – to dance all started when I was 8 years old. I used to be a shy kid, choosing to watch school programs rather than participate in it. Luckily, I became close friends with a couple of girls who were crazy for dancing; and they encouraged me to join. Countless nervous school programs later, I discovered ballroom dancing.
I remember it clearly. I just turned 14 and my mom took me to a ballroom dance club. I was amazed at how graceful the ladies moved. I wanted to be like them.
So I devoted hours each week with a dance teacher and before I knew it, I was competing in professional Dancesport competitions all over the world - and I have been for 15 years now.
I’ve learned a ton in my journey as a dance athlete, and I want to share it all with you.
